What works with every LMS today
Students can paste an assignment into a class chat today, and the class learning mode applies to the help they get. Nexus labels pasted text as pasted and does not fetch the source link. That means a school on any LMS can pilot Nexus now: students bring the assignment, and the class learning mode (Hints, Guided, or Full answer with critique) decides how much help they get.
People sign in to Nexus with Google. Nexus asks only for OpenID, email and profile, and a person joins your school only when an administrator enrolls their exact email address or sends a single-use invitation to it, never because of an email domain.
Security for connections
Canvas and Blackbaud sign-in tokens are encrypted with a dedicated key. Nexus checks school, membership, class and role fresh before every school read, and a sign-in through another system never grants school membership or a school role in Nexus.
Your web filter
Every major filter files AI tools under an AI category. Ask your filter vendor how Nexus is classified, allow it for students, and keep consumer AI blocked if that is your policy. See Nexus and your web filter.

Questions and answers
Which LMS does Nexus integrate with?
Canvas is built and tested against a Canvas simulator and ships with the next release. A Blackbaud assignment connection is built and has not yet run with a real school account. Class materials from Google Classroom, Teams, Moodle, D2L Brightspace and Blackboard Learn are in progress.
Can we use Nexus before our LMS is connected?
Yes. Students paste an assignment into a class chat today, and the class learning mode applies.
Does Nexus support Clever, ClassLink or SAML?
Not yet. Nexus uses Google sign-in in the school edition; pilot accounts are set up by enrollment or invitation to each person's exact email address.
Is Nexus an LTI tool?
No. Nexus does not run as an LTI tool inside your LMS. Its Canvas connection uses a developer key your Canvas admin creates, and students sign in to Nexus directly.
