Free pilot
Start with one teacher’s class.
A free Nexus pilot, for about 6 weeks. Start with the Work check and choose only the modules your school needs.
A small start, with a clear review.
Week 0 · IT setup
Set up Microsoft 365 or Google sign-in consent. Install the Edge or Chrome extension by school policy.
About 6 weeks · one class
Start with one teacher’s class, or a few. Hold a 15-minute check-in each week.
At the end · results summary
Review the pilot together, then decide whether to expand to the whole school.
What your school provides
One principal and one IT director decide. Choose the teacher and class for the pilot. IT provides sign-in consent and installs the extension by policy.
The school chooses its name and logo, rules, approved models, help levels and modules.
What Nexus provides
Your school’s own Nexus, the modules it chooses, weekly 15-minute check-ins and a results summary. Start with the Work check alone if that is what your school needs.
Data and privacy during the pilot
The Work check records writing only in assignments the student linked, only on the school’s approved sites, only while the on-screen “recording” label shows. It never records other browsing, passwords, or anything outside linked assignments.
Student chats are not shown to teachers.
School AI calls are routed with provider data collection denied, and student work is not used to train AI models.
For students under 13
The school authorizes use for its own educational purpose, parents get a notice, and the under-13 controls stay on.
Data after the pilot
Deletion is available on request. After a request, class records are deleted in 30 days, audit records in 180 days, and billing records in 2,555 days.
Removed shared copies are cleaned up automatically 30 days after removal, unless a retention hold applies. A few copies linked to other records are still handled on request.
Then decide whether to expand.
After the pilot: one school-wide annual license covers everything the school turns on, with a 30-day opt-out. Pricing is arranged with the Nexus team.
