[ WHERE IT STANDS ]
Status
Students can paste an assignment into a class chat today, and the class learning mode applies to the help they get. Nexus labels pasted text as pasted and does not fetch the source link.
a connection that brings class materials from D2L Brightspace into a Nexus class. It has not run against a school's real Brightspace yet, and it is not part of the next release.
Brightspace keeps the grades; Nexus helps with the work
In a Brightspace school, keep Brightspace as the home for assignments and grades, and use Nexus where students need help with the work. Each Nexus class has a learning mode (Hints, Guided, or Full answer with critique) that students cannot change, and teachers can review class chats, with notice to students.
Set up a pilot by section
Match each Nexus class to one Brightspace course section, so teacher review and class rules line up with the roster teachers already know. Enroll students by exact email address. Read how to run a six-week AI pilot for a schedule.
What to plan with your IT team
- Who administers Brightspace and approves new applications.
- Which course sections join the pilot, one Nexus class per section.
- Student and staff Google accounts for Nexus sign-in.
- Your filter's AI category and the Nexus allow-list.
