Build one useful classroom routine, teach it clearly, and improve it from observed work.
Plan the assignment
Name the learning objective, allowed AI help, required student evidence, model access, and teacher review point.
Model productive use
Show students how to ask for a hint, question an answer, cite a source, and revise their own work.
Review a small sample
Discuss useful and weak interactions with the class. Adjust the instructions before repeating the activity.
Before the lesson: make help rules explicit
Choose one learning objective and decide what students must produce independently. Write a short class policy and test it with both a legitimate question and a request for a shortcut. Tell students which conversations their teacher can review.
During the lesson: attempt, hint, explain
Ask students to make an attempt before requesting help. Let them ask for one hint, then require them to explain the next step. If they need more support, ask for a simpler analogous example rather than a finished submission.

- Ask a focused question.
- Apply the hint.
- Explain the reasoning without copying the response.
After the lesson: look for transferable understanding
Give a related task that students complete without Nexus. Compare the reasoning with what appeared in their conversations. Use recurring misunderstandings to choose the next teaching example, not to create an automatic label for a learner.
A reflection students can use
"I asked Nexus about ___. The response helped me notice ___. I changed or rejected ___ because ___. I can now explain ___ without help." Adapt this reflection to the subject and the age of the class.
