[ INTEGRATIONS ]
Nexus and Blackbaud
For independent and Catholic high schools on Blackbaud: a Blackbaud assignment connection is built and not yet run with a real school, and pasted assignments work today.
[ WHERE IT STANDS ]
Status
Students can paste an assignment into a class chat today, and the class learning mode applies to the help they get. Nexus labels pasted text as pasted and does not fetch the source link.
a Blackbaud connection that lets students bring in their Blackbaud assignments. It has not run against a real school's Blackbaud account. Blackbaud grade insight is not available.
Why Blackbaud matters to independent schools
Many independent and Catholic high schools run Blackbaud, and few school AI products name it. Nexus built a Blackbaud assignment connection for those schools. Because it has not yet run against a real school account, we set it up and test it with your school's Blackbaud during a pilot.
What your school approves
The connection needs your school's Blackbaud account, and Blackbaud requires the school to approve the application. Your Blackbaud administrator decides whether to approve it and which access to grant. Blackbaud grade insight is not available today.
Security
Blackbaud sign-in tokens are encrypted with a dedicated key. A Blackbaud sign-in never grants school membership or a school role in Nexus: people join your school only by enrollment or invitation to their exact email address.
What to plan
- Who administers Blackbaud at your school and approves applications.
- Which students and courses a pilot covers.
- Whether pasted assignments are enough for the first weeks of a pilot.
- Your web filter: allow Nexus while consumer AI stays blocked. See Nexus and your web filter.
