Set up your school
Manage membership, approve models, connect sources, and prepare a classroom rollout.
Arrange school access#
Contact Nexus support to arrange your school's workspace and operator access. A new Google sign-in does not grant administrator access. The school workspace is separate from personal use.
Add people and classes#
Open School management using your operator account. Add approved members, create classes, assign teachers, and add students to the right classes. Check the assignments using a teacher account and a student account.
Use invitations when you need someone to accept school membership. Do not share one account across a class.
Approve model access#
Configure the school's provider account and approve the models students may use. Review input and output prices before enabling expensive models. Teachers can narrow the approved catalog for their classes.
Provider credentials belong in the administrator configuration. They should never appear in a class prompt, a shared skill, or a student-facing form.
Set the budget#
The planned platform price is $20 per active student per month, plus provider usage billed to the school's provider account. The website's budget calculator separates those amounts. It is a planning estimate, not a promise of unlimited model use. Confirm commercial terms during rollout.
Set and test the school allowance before wider use. See usage and costs.
Connect school material#
Start with a small set of approved material. Check connector permissions, indexing status, and what a student can retrieve. A successful connection alone does not prove the source permissions are correct.
Run a class pilot#
Test sign-in, class selection, a normal question, a blocked model, and teacher review with separate accounts. Include a user outside the class to check the boundary. Confirm your school has reviewed the privacy notice and the support process before inviting more people.
