Your first school conversation
Join your class, explain where you are stuck, and use the response to take your next step.
Join the right workspace#
Open the school workspace and sign in with the account your school approved. Accept your invitation if your school sent one. Signing in alone does not make you a member of a school or give you a teacher role.
Choose your class before starting class work. If no class appears, ask the school administrator to check your membership. Do not switch to a personal workspace to get around a class rule.
Ask a useful question#
Include the problem, what you have tried, and the part that is unclear. For example: "I subtracted 3 from both sides of 2x + 3 = 11. I have 2x = 8. What should I think about next?"
A hint can help you choose a step without giving away the whole solution. Your teacher decides which help level fits the assignment.
Use feedback#
Make an attempt after a hint. Explain why you chose that step. If the response does not make sense, ask about the specific sentence or calculation. Check important claims against your class material. AI can make mistakes.
If your class allows multiple models, compare the explanations and explain which one helped. Agreement between models does not prove an answer is correct.
Know what your teacher can review#
Your assigned teacher can review prompts and answers from school conversations in that class. This includes the responses returned when you use multiple models. That view does not include unrelated personal conversations.
When something is unavailable#
A model, source, or tool may be unavailable because your class does not allow it or the school has not configured it. Ask your teacher what to use for the assignment. An access error is not a reason to use another person's account.
