Invitations and class membership

Bring the right people into your school and assign access to their classes.

Invite an approved member#

A school operator can create an invitation for an approved person. The invitation records the intended school membership. The recipient should use their own account to inspect and accept it.

Accept or decline#

Open the school invitation and sign in with the intended account. Review the school and membership details before accepting. If the invitation is unexpected or incorrect, decline it and contact the school.

Assign the class#

School membership and class membership serve different purposes. After someone joins the school, an operator assigns teachers and adds students to the relevant classes. A teacher sees only classes they are assigned to teach.

Revoke an invitation#

An operator can revoke an invitation that should no longer be used. Check the invitation list to confirm its status. Revoking an unaccepted invitation is different from changing an existing member's access.

Fix an account mismatch#

If an invitation was sent for another account, ask the operator to correct it. Do not share account credentials or accept membership using a different person's sign-in.

For API integrations, see the school invitation and membership endpoints in the API reference.
