Set up AI help for your class

Open your class#

Sign in to the school workspace with your approved account. Open School management and select an assigned class. A school operator manages teacher assignments and student membership.

Choose the help level#

Use hints when students should supply the next step. Use guided help when they need a more detailed explanation. A fuller explanation can be appropriate for a worked example or critique, depending on the assignment.

Add clear class instructions. Say what students should practise, what information the model may use, and what a useful response should ask the student to do. Save the policy before asking students to begin.

Choose models for the class#

Select from the school's approved catalog. You can narrow those choices for a class. Consider the task and the listed provider prices. If comparison is enabled, a single question can create up to three model responses, each with its own provider usage.

Review the work#

Open the class conversation list and select a conversation to see its prompts and responses. Use the conversation to understand what the student tried and where they need help. Follow your school's process for discussing an issue with a student.

Try the setup before a lesson#

Use an approved test account in the class. Ask an ordinary question, a request for the final answer, and a question outside the assignment. Check that the allowed models and responses match the policy you saved. Revise unclear instructions before using them with students.
