Freshdesk
Access tickets and conversations from Freshdesk
Availability depends on your school's enabled tools, provider setup, and account permissions. These settings are managed in the web workspace. A class policy may restrict a feature described here.
How it works#
The Freshdesk connector indexes tickets from your Freshdesk account.
Setting up#
Authorization#
Log in to Freshdesk#
Login to Freshdesk
The Freshdesk user must be a verified agent, admin, or owner.
Open profile settings#
Click the profile avatar and choose profile settings.
View API Key#
Select View API Key.
Authorize Nexus#
Once you have the API key, you can use it (as well as your domain) to authorize your Nexus connector. The password field is unused when the API key is provided and will be removed in a future version of Nexus. For now, please enter abc into the password field.
Indexing#
Open Freshdesk connector#
Navigate to the Admin Panel.
Add connector#
In the sidebar select Add Connector and click on the Freshdesk tile.
Create credentials#
Select Create New and then provide your Domain, Password and API Key, along with an optional name for your credentials.
Save credentials#
Click Create and your credentials will be saved and automatically selected.
Create connector#
After selecting Continue you can choose a name for your connector and then click Create Connector.
Start indexing#
Once you have created your connector Nexus will automatically begin indexing your tickets.
Before using this source with students#
Start with approved course material. Check which documents the connector can retrieve and how it maps source permissions. Test with a student account and a teacher account before widening access. A successful sync does not prove that the intended class boundary is correct.
Use source troubleshooting when a document is missing or visible to the wrong audience.
